MY DISHWASHER DOESN’T DRAIN, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

We will never get tired of saying that the dishwasher makes our lives easier, even if you are so used to it that you don’t remember it until you see a code of error on its display or something is broken.

With good maintenance you should be able to have your dishwasher for many years even though some problems might appear along the way but don’t worry because you will be able to fix them yourself, for example if it doesn’t drain.

That’s right! We are talking about that moment when the cycle is over and after opening the door you still see water inside of it, if this happens that means that you will see code E:24 on the display and that of course means that the dishwasher is not draining.

Next we would like to show you some reasons of why the dishwasher doesn’t drain and how to avoid it from happening:

Problems with the water outlet

Before doing anything turn the dishwasher off and unplug it, then, test the outlets and check the hoses that are in the back, they could be twisted or bent. If your dishwasher is integrated then this hoses are on the side.

Problems with the drain

The problem could also be in the connection with the drain pipes since this could be obstructed, to check this part you have to unscrew the clamp, remove the hose and make sure there is nothing obstructing the water from draining, after doing that also unscrew the connection to make sure is not blocked either, if the connection is new the sealing layer might be stopping the water from draining.

Problems with the drain pump
If the dishwasher is not draining it might be due to the drain pump being blocked as well.
